![]() However, believing the royals left her to die and their people to suffer, Pumyra's spirit became full of rage and could not pass on due to her new-found hatred towards the Thunderian royals. Enduring up until dawn, Pumyra saw Lion-O, leaving to hunt down Mumm-Ra with Tygra and Cheetara, the three unable to hear her pleas for help as she dies hopeless and alone. Although her lower body was crushed, she was still alive. Unfortunately, Thundera was falling apart from the merciless assault of the Lizard Army and large parts of falling rubble crushed right on top of Pumyra. ![]() When the Lizard Army attacked, Pumyra was on the front lines, defending Thundera. When General Grune returned to Thundera, no one realized that he had secretly defected to Mumm-Ra's forces and was part of a massive assault force to destroy Thundera. Because I have an idea that if the show did continue I can see Lion-O being depressed about the whole ordeal with Pumyra and cheetara tries to comfort him but he gets angry and tells her that she doesn't want her comfort because she hurt him as well and will probably tell Tygra about the reason why cheetara was smitten with him in the first season. And Pumyra.Poor Pumyra, she went from being an unsung Thundercat with loads of potential to being the undead traitor who may or may not have been the war bride of Mumm-ra.That scene totally tainted my childhood memories of the original Pumyra I feel your pain, just out of curiosity if they did continue the show what do you think should happen. I guess I just don't get why Lion-O had to end up alone TWICE, and in increasingly over the top and mean spirited ways. Basically the show's conclusion left a bad taste in my mouth, the 2011 series had alot of potential and great artwork, but was ultimately disappointing, not nearly as satisfying as the 80s original, cheesy as it was at times. However, the manner in which they ended Pumyra's relationship with Lion-O was just cheap shock value nonsense, totally pointless, especially given that the show was cancelled and any chance of following up on the aftermath of the season 2 finale was squashed. Now, to be fair, I actually loved the idea of Pumyra becoming Lion-O's new love interest since the original Pumyra didn't get much attention & character development, at least compared to Cheetara and Wily Kit. I mean, up until the new series came along, many fans paired Lion-O and Cheetara together, and instead she ends up with a Tygra, who was re-imagined as an arrogant douchebag (cuz everyone likes seeing the asshole get the girl right? lol). I liked alot about the new series, but I HATED how they handled the romantic angles. They both hurt him pretty badly, Cheetara because she led Lion-O along & wasn't straightforward about her feelings for him until after she and Tygra finally kissed & Lion-O stumbled across them, and Pumyra because well. She was an undead spy for Mumm-Ra."eyes roll"
